Many studies show, sitting too long can harm health, even if you regularly exercise.
The behavior or habit of sitting too long can be said with sedentary lifestyle. Sedentary lifestyle is a condition in which one is mostly seated and lazy to move.

- Heart
According to Harvard Health Publishing, a new study shows that people who sit for 10 hours or a day tend to have heart attacks or strokes than those who sit five hours or less every day.
- Obesity
When a person spends most of the day sitting down, the release of these molecules is reduced and potentially gain weight. This is why the less moving behavior is so closely associated with obesity.
- Diabetes
In a study that sees the effects of people who only five days' rest, researchers see increased insulin resistance, causes diabetes. Experts conclude that sitting can change the way the body reacts to insulin, hormones that help burn sugar and carbohydrates for energy.
- Dementia
If you sit too much, your brain can look like someone's brain with dementia or seems often confused. Sitting is also believed to increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes, stroke, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.
