Jakarta, Spasi-id.com - the education expert Naduraa Shihab says that child interest and talent will grow as they do in early years. Nauraaa said that talent is not a destiny that comes together when children are born into the world.
"It's a very long-term process, there's an interest coming from exploration and it's new at the middle school level, it's also growing early in life, and some need exposure first.
The child must be given as much space exploration as possible to have as much experience and choice in developing interest. It takes a lot of experience and exploration to get to know interest and talent.
When entering High School, it will be better prepared to choose what interests and concerns it.
According to Nauraa, parents and educators do not need to shape child interest by directing should be able to in certain areas. A child given the freedom to explore many things would be easier to recognize his interest and talent.
"The child's talent interest is not needed to be tested by others but the child needs space to be able to recognize his own interest, so that he can gain experience and determine what is most likeable and suitable for him,
Furthermore, Nauraa says children need to go through various processes to determine what they want most. Even this experience can't be gained in just 1-2 months.
Moreover, parents are also expected to accept the child's aspirations in determining their own feelings and not comparing them with other children.
"Our job is to make these children have high aspirations and diverse ideals," Naarea says.
