Jakarta, Spami-id.com - life in large cities is many dynamics and problems that put people in it under stress. Even today stress is not only the monopoly of adults but also of children.
When a child gets stressed out, there are some signs that parents can see. According to Children and Family Psychologists, Samanta Elsener, it turns out there are some traits about the stressed child.
Here are six signs of stress, which parents need to know about.
The first sign of stress is that there are behavioral changes in his daily activities.
This change in behavior usually comes with a strange and rare attitude.
"Normally in light stress we don't see, can't observe, even consider a lazy child," Samanta said in Thamrin Nine, Jakarta Center that was quoted on Sunday (25 / 9 / 2022).
It's hard waking up
It's hard waking up to be one of those signs of stress kids.
"Waking up that long has been a sign of stress. When he sleeps, he never sleeps, he sleeps delirious, there's nightmares, or his legs are tense, so it's like being surprised. So basically from his old physical it was already visible," he said.
Hard to sleep
Besides having trouble waking up, trouble sleeping can also be referred to as a child in a stress state. One of the signs is, kids are usually more interested in playing or watching TV in their sleep.
"And being in bed is hard. Like he wants to stick around, try to watch TV, or he wants to play. He's going to learn he doesn't want to," obviously.
Demotion of academic value
Samanta said, older children are likely to show signs of stress through their academic grades.
The drop in grades at school can be a sign of children losing concentration while learning because of other issues.
"When I'm 8 or 11 years old, I've got the grades. Oh, he's not in his academic school, his learning concentration is down, that means signs of stress," obviously.
Drop the behavior
Increasing child development can be used as a child in a state of stress. Like when a child suddenly wet himself in the middle of the night or when playing.
"He could not sleep in his pants or shit in his pants, but during his daily activities. So it's normal to play, Then we just pissed him off, So the problem isn't solved," obviously.
Meanwhile, larger children tend to show the opposite attitude. They'd rather lock themselves in their rooms.
"Locking up in the room all the time. Usually when it's teen, when it comes to teenagers, Shocked, walked away, didn't want to. It was all signs," cover it.
A two-week repeat of behavior
When children start to change behavior, parents need to know how long this condition repeats.
If it continues for two weeks, Samanta suggested that children be taken to professionals immediately, one of which is like a child psychologist.
"We can see how many times he reduces different behavior from his habits. If it's two weeks straight, take it straight to the professionals. Let's not do this on our own because it could be that the stress is up and it needs more serious handling," said it.
