Methods in vitro fertilization (IVF) or tube babies are reproductive technologies helping to become a third line in fertility disorders.
"The tube baby is a helpful method of reproduction that brings sperm and egg cells together outside of the human body," said the Doctor Specialist Policy and Consultation Fertility Consultant, Endocrinology and Reproduction from the Beautiful VF Hospital of the IVF Centre of Yassin Yauar Yauar Yohammad SpOG-KFER MSc, in an online press conference held by the Beautiful Public Hospital a while ago.
After fertilization, the formed embryo will be replanted into the womb of the mother-to-be in the hope of pregnancy. In tube babies, the pregnancy process will continue in the body of the mother-to-be.
"So it wasn't the pregnancy outside, in the lab tube," said Dr. Yassin.
There are some conditions where the baby tubes will be needed. For example, when couples with fertility have had their first and second-line therapy, but have yet to achieve pregnancy.
Another example, tube babies are also necessary if a husband has problems like azoospermia. Azospermia is a condition where the number of sperm in male semen is 0.
"Azoospermia is an absolute indication of being a tube baby," said Dr. Yassin.
But in addition to helping couples with fertility problems, the baby tubes can also help couples with other conditions.
