Jakarta, Santas-id.com - the DKI Jakarta government will enact a new Jakarta-linked plan for the Old Card (KLJ). From 2023, KLJ's aid money will be cut into Rp 300 thousand.

Last policy, the old KLJ recipients got cash for Rp 600 grand a month. With that new rule, the KLJ recipients only get Rp 300 grand a month or up to half of the previous ones. Those rules apply from next year.

The head of Social Services DKI Jakarta Premi Laari, says the new rule was decided after going through the study. One of the factors of the scales is basic feasibility.

"From the studies we've done, there's no government support above Rp 300,000. For example, BPNT (non-cash food aid) is only Rp 200 thousand, the detention of orphans Rp 200 thousand, BST (social aid) COVID-19 Rp 300 thousand," said Premi, quoted Wednesday (31 / 8 / 2022).

Nevertheless, according to Premi, the number of KLJ recipients will be doubled by 2023. The reason why the DKI DPRD looked up to this point is that the KLJ channel hasn't been evenly distributed due to the number of recipients the Human Services's social services data is still low.

According to the Statistic Center (BPS) data, the number of elderly in Jakarta is 1.05 million people. Meanwhile, based on the responsible execution of APBD (P2APBD) budget 2021, the KLJ quota set only for 107.573 souls. That number hasn't changed in the 2022 APBD activities.
