Sydney, Spasi-id.com - Australian Police broke the record after securing 2 tons of meth that was hidden in the marble tile sent from the Arab Emirate Union (UEA) to Sydney. That's worth 1.6 billion dollars, Australia or 16.5 trillion Rp.
"Three men were arrested after 748 pounds (1,649 pounds) the drug was found earlier this month hidden in 24 containers which arrived in Port Botany," said officials according to Reuben's report, quoted Saturday (27 / 8) / 2022.
Then another 1,060 kilograms of meth was found in 19 containers that arrived in the same port last week. The drugs were hidden in the same method and they were all sent from the UEA.
Chief of Police Supply Detective John Watson said, since the seizure last week, no party was arrested. But investigators will focus on foreign suppliers.
Watson revealed, all containers will be sent to an address with the purpose of a factory in western Sydney which has been established to extract meth from marble quickly. The police don't know how often it's used.
The previous Australian meth record was 1.6 metric tons hidden on speaker and sent to Melbourne from Bangkok in April 2019. As many as three of Melbourne are charged with drug offenses.
