"Israel's technical team is in Doha to discuss the ceasefire and hostage agreement in Gaza," said the source reluctant to be named.
"It's between Israeli and Qatar working-class teams."
It is explained that discussion was intended to bridge the gap between the two sides.
The meeting followed David Barnea, who heads up Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, to Doha on Wednesday.
The source also says, although there is no indication Barnea was present at the current meeting. As far as Qatar is concerned, Qatar has been involved in negotiating behind the scenes for months for the ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages.
