spatial-id.com, Jakarta - the sale of conventional engine cars in RI continues to decline as they rise to electric car popularity, drop to 30% (estimated).
The electric car is on a leaf again in Indonesia. His sales records have also increased in the last five years. According to the combined data of Indonesian Motor Vehicles Industries (Gaikino), in 2021 for example, the sale of electric cars didn't reach 1,000 units. In 2021 there were only 687 electric cars sold.

But by 2022, it was directly skyrocketed through 10.327 units. Even the electric-car market share was 0.1 percent instantly turned to 1 percent. Back then, the hybrid electrification cars were even more popular. In the same year, they both donate one percent of the market share of the total sales.

In 2023, the car sales went up again to 17,051 units or raked about 1.7 percent of the market share. The number's still down far from a hybrid car that's booked the sale of 54.179 units. As of 2024, the sale of electric cars kept rising even started chasing hybrid cars.

During 2024, the electric car sales were either 43.188 units or 5 percent of the market share. While the hybrid car is selling at 59,903 units or 6.9 percent of the market share. By 2025, the electric car was getting more and more fans. It's going to increase more than 2024 with the presence of a new model and a more affordable price.

The electric car booked the sales records of 103.931 units beyond the hybrid cars that only 65,943 units. The rise of the electric car sales is just upside down to conventional machine cars that have been recorded down in the last five years.
