Jakarta, Spami-id.com - for the anticipation step of wheat scarcity, Bulog perch plans in the next few days will build a sago factory.
"In front of Bulog there's a plan to build a sago factory. So hopefully, the sago needs will go up, we'll offer instead of wheat," the President of Perum Bulog Preservation Division, Budi Cahyanto in the FMB9 Cominfo dialog, Friday (19 / 8 / 2022).
In regards to the rising issue of wheat prices, he thought it wasn't a big deal that the general public had to worry about. Because, basically, wheat is not the main food of Indonesian society.
"I don't think this is the main food, so actually the Indonesian people can still endure this issue of wheat," said Budi.
Furthermore, Budi added, wheat in Indonesia is used for two interests, which is livestock food and food industry needs.
