Compared to this time last year, the shipment dropped 15%, which is still way above the pre-pandemic level, according to IDC.

HP sees PC shipments down about 28%, Dell shipments down 21% and Lenovo down 16%. Meanwhile, Apple is fighting trends with a PC delivery up 40% in the third quarter.

The AMD signaled this barrier last week when the chip maker cut his estimate of sales on Thursday for the third quarter, blaming a greater decline than in the PC market and the supply chain issue.

Investors will likely observe signs of weakness in PC delivery when Microsoft And Intel reported the third quarter income by the end of the month. Microsoft will release the results on 25th October, while Intel will report on October 27.
