Jakarta, Spasi-id.com - subsidy budget in Rp502 trillion won't be enough if the BBM price is not raised thus revealed Sri Mulyani Finance Minister.
Sri Mulyani confessed to being asked by President Joko Widodo or Jokowi to calculate the projection of BBM consumption impacts on the budget until the end of the year.
The former World Bank has said that if the government doesn't increase the cost of BBM subsidies in particular Pertalite and Solar, there should be additional subsidies of Rp198 trillion.
"If we don't raise the BBM, if we don't do anything, there's no restrictions, there's nothing, so Rp502 trillion won't be enough," Sri Mulyani said at the Public Representative Building (House) Rah, Jakarta, quoted Wednesday (24 / 8 / 2022).
Sri Mulyani confirmed, that an additional subsidy of that magnitude just considering that there is no rise in Pertalite and Solar prices. In fact, there are other commodities that are also important, which are elpiji and electricity.
Sri Mulyani explains that the additional need for subsidies was based on projections of Pertalite and Solar consumption until the end of the year that reached 29 million Killers. Whereas subsidy and energy compensation has been set in press number 98 for Rp502 trillion.
