spatial-id.com, Paris - TGV fast train sequence collided with a truck in northern France. The fast train driver was killed instantly, with dozens of others injured in the accident.
The French train operator, SNCF, as in the AFP, Tuesday (7 / 4 / 2026), said the collision occurred at a crossing between the town of Bethune and Lens in the Pa- in Calais, France in the north, on Tuesday (7 / 4) local time.

The French authorities announced that the fast train driver was killed in the crash, with at least 27 others injured. There's no known number of passengers on the train who had an accident.

Both SNCF and local authorities have not provided detailed information regarding the situation.

In his statement, SNCF announced that the service between Bethune and Lens would be suspended temporarily, at least until Tuesday (7 / 4) the night of local time.

The French Transport minister, Philippe Tabarot, said he rushed to the crash site with the CEO of SNCF Jean Castil.

"I'm heading to the scene with executive Chief SNCF, Jean Castil," Tabarot says in a statement via social media.

In France, serious accidents involving trains rarely occur, compared to traditional trains.
