The chief of the Mochamad PSl Irisir says, the launch of the official World Cup U-20 2023 that coincides with Independence Day marks Indonesian football ready to rise up and perform in the world stage.
"Surely this tournament will also leave many good things for future Indonesian football development, such as infrastructure and development," said the Irisir, through written information, Thursday (18 / 8 / 2022).
Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary of the PSSI Maaike Ira Librita, as the president of the local committee added, the launch of the official U20 World Cup is just the beginning of a series of activities to raise public awareness of the upcoming tournament.
"The Indonesian people are excited to welcome this tournament," said Maaike.
The 2023 World Cup takes place May 20th through June 11 next year and gives a foundation for football's top talent to become future legends.
The World Cup logo -23 2023 is a tournament-shaped trophy with various colors in it. FIFA called, red and white inspired by the Indonesian national flag.
Then there's the green blue that symbolizes the beauty of the Indonesian sea and the currents that flow across the islands.
And then the crown on that logo shows the passion of the world for football on various continents.
This launch gives a glimpse to the fans and players around the world about what's expected next year when exploring the spirit, color, diversity, and the celebration spirit of a competition in the heart of Southeast Asia.
"It will be the first FIFA competition held in Indonesia, and the official launch is an interesting milestone in this trip," said the Director of the FIFA Tournament Jaime Yarza.
"In addition to being the perfect opportunity to show the Indonesian football spirit to the world, being host to the World Cup U-20 will also help develop sports in the Fatherland, and there will be a significant infrastructure legacy that will benefit football in Indonesia in years to come,"
