KAI Commuter Perform Operation Station BNI City to Ride Down KRL User, Starting July 30, 2022
Starting Saturday, July 30th, 2022 KAI Commuter did a test on the BNI City Station operation as a KRL station for service for upper and lower users in which previously at the BNI City Station only serves a trip KA.
This station itself, every day it will serve a CRL rec trip of Cirasi / Becation - Bandang village via the Senen Market or via Magorda. A total of 199 KRL trips and 40 airport trips. With the location between Brother Land Cross at KM 2 + 5, the BNI City Station including the C-type Station has two lanes for the KA travel service.
For the KRL travel facility, the KAI Commuter has set up a locker, seven electronic gates for the process of entry and exit users, three C-VIM for top up and marka-marka instructions in the station area. As for the airport's service facility, the airport remains the same, which is able to make a ticket purchase on the Vending Machine located on the 1st floor of the BNI City Station and through applications and websites.
Also, to ease the transfer of intermodes for commuterline passengers to use the airport, there is also the Tap N Go program, and the commuterline passengers feed KMT and prepaid cards at Gate KA Airport by ensuring minimum balance Rp 70,000.
Other facility support facilities are also available in this station like elevators and escalators for priority users, musholla, toilets, nursing rooms, motor car parking and commercial areas. This station is directly connected to Sudirman Station and General Sudirman Protocol Road. This station also integrated with MRT and Halte Trans Jakarta Station.
In the attempted operation of this BNI City Station, the service goes up to the CRL user at Sudirman Station and Karet Station is operating normally. The BNI City Station is predicted to serve the average KRL user on a weekday of 9.320 people a day and 3,803 users on weekends. CAI Commuter also predicted the user volume that will switch to the BNI City Station from the Sudirman Station by 40% and 30% user from the Ruet Station.
Currently, there are average users per day at the Sudirman Station of 16,232 people, while the average volume of users in the time before the pandemic is 25,083 people per day. Meanwhile the average user volume in Karet Station is currently at 6,528 people a day, while before the pandemic of 11.365 people a day.
Director KAI Commuter Roppiq Lutzfi Azhar says with a test operation of BNI City Station for KRL users, expected to be an option to rise and descend besides Sudirman Station and Rubber Station. "Test operation of this station is also expected to provide again ease and comfort in using KRL transportation."
The main director of KAI Airport Orango Triwibowo added that by starting serving him BNI City Station to move down the KRL passengers on July 30, 2022 tomorrow, expected to be an alternative to passengers who will move between mods to the BNI City Station. "If the airport passengers who came down at BNI City Station have to go on 200-300M to continue using commuterline at Sudirman Station, now passengers out on the 1 floor."
In the current operation tryouts, KAI Commuter and KaI Airport remain alert officers to assist flow settings and provide information to passengers in the station area.
