Jakarta, Spasi-id.com - Intel's big name on the software world is no stranger to programmers or other. But next year Intel will change the name of the Pentium and Celeron processor. The new branding will replace both brand processor with a device released in 2023. Now Intel will focus on the brand of Core, Evo, and VPro for its leading product.
"Intel is committed to encouraging innovation to benefit the user. The new Intel processor branding will simplify our offer so that users can focus on selecting the right processor for their needs," said the VP and general manager while the mobile client platform in Intel Josh Newman.
The end of the Pentium brand came after almost 30 years of use. Initially, Pentium was introduced in 1993 when the chips were used on the upper-level desktop machine before moving onto the laptop. Most Intel has been using the Core brand for its primary processor lines since 2006 and replacing the Pentium brand for the middle class processor
The Verge, Monday (19 / 9 / 2022), Celeron is a brand name Intel for cheap PC launched about five years after Pentium. The Celeron Chip always offers much less performance at a much cheaper cost.

The first Celeron chip in 1998 was based on a Pentium II processor and the latest Celeron processor was mostly used in Chromebook and cheap laptops.
The Intel plan for targeting consumers about middle class and low costs is still unclear. Even so, cheap chips Celeron and Pentium have built quite a negative association in the last few years because PC makers are focusing on Chromebook and cheap devices when sometimes chips can't follow.

Intel says branding changes won't affect the current company's product supply and companies will continue to provide the same products and benefits. Rebranding Intel comes just a few weeks before the company will introduce its 13th-generation desktop processor.
