London, Spasi-id.com - a new variant of monkey pox was reported to have been found in England. British health officials confirmed that after a new variant of monkey pox was found in new patients.
But the British government is still classified the identity of the patient. Until now the patient was in charge of the High Consequences Infectious Dissection (HCID) Hospital at Royal Liverpool University.
The British Health Agency (UKHSA) revealed, on Thursday September 1, 2022 someone who had just traveled to West Africa was diagnosed with a different variant of monkey pox that was currently spreading in England.
UKHS says that no other case was found on Thursday and currently tracking contact is still in effect.
"We're trying to contact the people who made contact with the case before to confirm whether or not the contagion, to evaluate them as necessary and to give instructions," said the Director of the UKHSA incident Sophia Maki.
According to him, the risk of monkey pox is very small thanks to infection control procedures.
