Romanian, Spasi- id.com - in anticipation of possible invasion, the North Atlantic Defense Force is the closest to the war in Ukraine, doing scheduled military training.

Based in Romania near the southern borders of Ukraine, NATO troops held clean glades anticipating advance enemy troops from the north.

NATO combat groups, made up of French and Dutch armies, were deployed there as a direct result of the Ukrainian war with Ukraine.

They were prepared to anticipate a war that extends to the Romanian border, although no one openly discussed that possibility.

Meanwhile, officials say their training is part of a routine exercise.

"The context is different, but the training remains the same," said Colonel Randhe Degand, Commander Forward Presence Battlegroup NATO in Romania, charged from Euronews (14 / 9).

"There's a global trend in the armed forces to train the ongoing battle between each other before the Ukrainian crisis, so I think we've done a pretty good job of imagining what would be the next conflict."
